At the end of the day it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished… It’s about who you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back.
Jodhpur’s Chokha region had lots of kids willing to attend the school, but the schools there didn’t had required facilities to handle this much strength. Majority of children were attending their classes in the open under the scorching sun.
Seeing this, JRT 273 took up the initiative of raising funds in order to build a classroom block for these students. Furthermore, we also tried upscaling the lives of these students by providing them sports and games equipment and utensils to munch their mid-day meals. As a result, a lot more students started attending the school.
Due to the absence of separate washrooms for girls, more and more young-adult girls were dropping out of the school. Jodhpur Round Table saw a void here, and tried to fill it by building separate washrooms for the girls. Post this, the school observed a surge in admission.
